It’s Sunday 7th June and I haven’t been home since the middle of March. Haven’t hugged a friend, or my parents. Haven’t eaten a meal cooked by mother.
Last night I watched all of the first season of Homecoming. It was short and sweet and ultimately not really about coming home, but finding it. It was directed by Sam Esmail, who you might know from Mr Robot, which ultimately is about being isolated from yourself and therefore, those you love. Sound familiar?
The aim today is to finish the first draft of a short story, the opening of PROJECT ASCENDANT. I have landscapes on the big screen and sci-fi soundtracks through the speaker. Through the window, I can see people walking by, in the sun, in the shade of trees.
